This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Contracts team, working to ensure departmental productivity, quality of work and to promote customer service objectives. Responsibilities include training and coaching contracts staff and actively supporting all internal and external customers relating to contract production.

How you will make an impact:


  • Supervises staff including determining staffing needs, setting goals, interviewing, selecting, coaching, and evaluating the performance of all direct reports.

  • Directs training programs for all staff, including new hires, updates to processes and products, and remedial, focused training.

  • Performs comprehensive contractual reviews and evaluates the information required to enable appropriate contractual decisions.

  • Reviews and drafts issues documents for large, high-profile or complex requests and provides recommendations to management if applicable.

  • Approves standard contractual concessions.

  • Advises and provides guidance to internal and external customers.

  • Prepares and presents documents to support contractual decisions to internal and external customers.

  • Advises Contracts staff of changes in policies, guidelines, departmental and corporate objectives.

  • May draft and issue contract documents to support staff or enterprise initiatives.

  • This list is not all-inclusive and you are expected to perform other duties as requested or assigned.

What we look for:


  • 5+ years as an Individual Contributor w/Associate's degree; 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.

  • 3 years' experience in contracts (preferred).

  • Strong organizational/time management skills and ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff and other departments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including skill in negotiation.

  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated supervisory, coaching, and training skills.

  • Strong knowledge of contract/policy processing concepts, policies, guidelines and systems.

  • Understands process flows and is able to identify roadblocks and devise solutions to improve processes.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when exposed to sensitive information.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
