Garden Designer & Client Advocate / Property Care Manager
Glengate is a high-end residential landscape design/build/maintenance firm.Our projects incorporate master planning: landscape architecture, hardscape, horticultural detail, and seasonal displays. All work is by in-house crews. Each project is assigned a client advocate (Property Care Manager) for aftercare and continuing design.
In this role, you will be part of a dedicated professional landscape team that services some of the most prestigious residential properties in the Northeast. Our Property care Account Managers are the client's primary contact with our company. They oversee the property to ensure that all agreements and projects are fulfilled to the client's satisfaction. They also introduce the client to other areas of our company when additional expertise is needed.
Glengate is seeking a Garden Designer and Client Advocate, able to:
Be primary communicator between client and company
Pro-actively anticipate the development of maintenance issues
Continually act as a client advocate assuring an ongoing positive experience
Easily develop a close (professional) relationship with the client
Be responsible to create a holistic property design and a long-term vision
Meet client goals and achieve the potential for each property
Develop strategy to optimize sales for each property
Possess solid verbal skills, excellent listening qualities, and consultative selling ability
Experience and Qualifications:
Ability to develop deep professional relationships with high end demanding clients
Have excellent communication and English skills
Creative, excel in garden design, ability to develop intimate designs for outdoor living spaces
Have deep horticultural knowledge
Can engage the client on an intellectual and artistic level
Have sketching, drafting, and presentation graphic skills
Can interact with crews and communicate the level of service client expects
2-5 years experience in a similar role
Education and Formal Training:
Bachelor degree in Landscape Design or related field
Proven horticultural knowledge.
Secondary degree in the arts or international travels a plus.
Computer facile, including Microsoft Office Suite, and AutoCAD and other.
· Urban or commercial experience not counted.· Regional candidates are favored.
