Robert Half is looking for a Director, Global Marketing Automation. This role is responsible for leading and managing Robert Half’s global marketing automation technology stack and supporting global demand generation technology. This consists primarily of defining and managing the technology infrastructure that enables our marketing automation efforts as well as leading and managing people, processes, and internal and external service partners involved. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive approach to drive infrastructure improvements, design/optimize customer journeys, and improve the overall user experience through data, insights, and experimentation.
Specific responsibilities include:
Product owner for global marketing automation platform and associated technical infrastructure components; understand business requirements and help translate them into technical solutions
Own the digital solution architecture end-to-end, including segmentation, personalization, marketing automation activation, lead flow, and accurate campaign tracking
Hire, manage, and lead a team of marketing automation developers, business analysts, and support staff
Lead business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the global marketing automation team, inclusive of supporting marketing automation platforms, headcount, and efficiency
Oversee the development, coding, and testing of personalized and dynamic emails, push notifications, SMS messages, and other related technical projects
Identify, evaluate, and implement tools and technology that will enable campaign innovation and improve performance
Define and document technical specifications and best practices
Standardize and optimize marketing automation processes and QA procedures to ensure flawless delivery of campaigns
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues within our ESP or surrounding technologies
Develop KPIs and benchmarks to monitor team efficiency and performance
Business lead for IT resources responsible for Salesforce integration, database management, and external API Calls
Research new and innovative technologies, tools, and techniques to optimize and improve and present business cases for capital investments in new technology and tools
Work with legal, IT, and business partners to understand and comply with global communications rules including CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, and CCPA
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in marketing automation, database marketing, or related field
Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing, Business Administration or Computer Sciences majors desired.
3+ years leading a team and managing direct reports
Background building automated, multi-channel messages and journeys and building technical solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience required
Salesforce CRM and other Salesforce Cloud experience highly desired
Excellent communications skills – must be able to clearly articulate both strategic and technical direction, working with non-technical users to determine business needs and requirements and translate that into technology requirements
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
Previously worked in an Agile/SCRUM environment
Experience with Google Analytics, Tealium, Domo, or other analytics software
Familiar with HTML, CSS, SQL and JavaScript, AMPscript, etc.
