Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others

The position is in CCB Credit Forecasting's Risk Appetite and Capital Analytics team . The Vice President is responsible for leading Risk Appetite framework development and enhancement for Chase Card portfolio. This role requires strong data analytical knowledge and skills to assess relationships and patterns driving risk profiles. Develop analytics with multiple data sources for overall credit risk monitoring, including leading indicators, scorecards, triggers, and benchmarks. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Card Risk, Loss Forecasting, Stress Test Modeling, and Finance teams to develop and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs). Analyze threshold and portfolio concentrations limits to support management investment decisions. Maintain regulatory reporting and related controls. Drive risk recommendations for business strategy and investment decisions and communicate decisions to senior management . Quick and agile thinking is required, as this role is responsible for addressing ad hoc questions and inquiries from senior management.

The successful candidate will excel at communication and problem solving, be exceptionally organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires strong writing, reporting and time management skills.

Responsibilities include:


  • Provide information by assembling, interpreting, and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, along with analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
  • Analyze risk inputs and conduct research and analysis of the credit performance and profitability of multiple segments leveraging historical performance and forecasting outputs;
  • Perform quantitative analysis of customer credit card behaviors, revenue drivers, and credit performances to influence investment alternatives and portfolio optimization.
  • Develop/ Support analytical tools for profitability assessment and stress credit evaluations to support the Risk Appetite framework and strategy integrations;
  • Enhance consistency and efficiency across existing processes and reporting to meet changing needs of the business Self-motivated individual with ability to work on multiple projects with limited guidance
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts to help them develop their risk management skills and finance knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics)
  • 5+ years of SAS and/or SQL experience or other statistical tools
  • 5+ years of related analytical experience
  • Strong data programming skills that incldes experience with Tableau, Python, R, Teradata

  • Experience in consumer credit experience, risk management, loss forecasting analytics and/or
