Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR in adult, child & infant is required within one month of hire.

Completion of ASET LTM 100 Introduction to Long-Term Monitoring for EMU Personal required within 3 Months of Hire.
Neurodiagnostic Technologist I is an entry level position in the Neurodiagnostic Unit or department. Neurodiagnostic Technologist I are individuals trained in seizure observation, capable of maintaining recording integrity. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I can perform test set up, electrode application and other related duties. Communication is essential for this position
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Neurodiagnostic Technologist I are able to recognize clinical seizures and communicate with other staff as appropriate. Perform test set up, electrode application adherence with the International 10-20 system, recognize artifact, reattach several scalp electrodes, troubleshoot minor system failures, and perform routine system maintenance tasks.
Position Specific Role Responsibilities
The Neurodiagnostic I is a vital member of the EMU team in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) located on a Medical Surge floor ensuring continuous monitoring for EMUs and LTMs. In addition, will be working with an interdisciplinary team including but not limited to Neurodiagnostic Technologists I,II,II, IV, Biomedical Engineering, Information System Support, EMU Nursing Staff, and Physicians.
