PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works under the supervision of the LEAD Warehouse Specialist. The Order Filler will act independently or assist in the performance of any and all duties necessary to keep the facility in full operation. Will perform other duties as assigned.
The duties listed below are not set forth for purposes of limiting the assignment of work. They should not be construed as a complete list of the various duties normally performed by the individuals assigned to the Warehouse department or Commissary area or those to be performed temporarily outside an employee’s normal line of work.
Fills shipping or transfer orders for finished goods from stored merchandise in accordance with specifications on sales slips, customers’ orders, or other instructions.
Fills orders and indicates items filled or omitted.
Inputs data into computer, keeps records and submits reports to supervisor.
Pulls stock from shelves and readies for delivery.
Keep records of outgoing orders, requisitions additional stock and reports short supplies to supervisor.
May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehouse duties.
Distributes commissary orders to the detainee population as required.
Train detainees on machinery operation, proper cleaning, chemical usage and safety procedures as required.
3. A. Work is completed in a priority established by supervision or facility need.
All work will be completed with a high degree of professionalism, quality and craftsmanship
B. Lulls in workload are used to maintain a clean and orderly work area and to insure clerical tasks are up to date. Keep
up to date on departmental and facility safety standards and local codes and policies.
