PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Works under the supervision of the LEAD Warehouse Specialist.  The Order Filler will act independently or assist in the performance of any and all duties necessary to keep the facility in full operation.  Will perform other duties as assigned.



  1. The duties listed below are not set forth for purposes of limiting the assignment of work.  They should not be construed as a complete list of the various duties normally performed by the individuals assigned to the Warehouse department or Commissary area or those to be performed temporarily outside an employee’s normal line of work.         




  2. Fills shipping or transfer orders for finished goods from stored merchandise in accordance with specifications on sales slips, customers’ orders, or other instructions.




  3. Fills orders and indicates items filled or omitted.




  4. Inputs data into computer, keeps records and submits reports to supervisor.




  5. Pulls stock from shelves and readies for delivery.




  6. Keep records of outgoing orders, requisitions additional stock and reports short supplies to supervisor.




  7. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehouse duties.




  8. Distributes commissary orders to the detainee population as required.




  9. Train detainees on machinery operation, proper cleaning, chemical usage and safety procedures as required.



3.    A.  Work is completed in a priority established by supervision or facility need.                       

             All work will be completed with a high degree of professionalism, quality and craftsmanship

       B.   Lulls in workload are used to maintain a clean and orderly work area and to insure clerical tasks are up to date.  Keep

  up to date on departmental and facility safety standards and local codes and policies.


  • In accordance with President Biden’s Executive Order 14042, you must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements to infectious diseases such as COVID-19. The Executive Order generally requires that all federal workers and federal contractor employees be fully vaccinated by December 8, 2021.

  • Comply and adhere to the Department of Labor's (DOL) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) COVID vaccination policy.

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • Experience preferred in warehousing. 

  • Computer experience a plus. 

  • Must have inter/intra communication skills with employees and department heads.  Must be able to follow Standard Codes of Conduct pertaining to interaction with detainee population.

  • May lift or push up to 50 lbs. 

  • For extended periods of time may be required to stand, walk, squat, kneel, sit, bend, reach and climb. Work may involve using ladders and lifts.Work areas may include all areas of the facility.  

  • May be exposed to industrial chemicals and solvents. 

  • Majority of work in air conditioned facility.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.  Must be able to pass extensive background investigation and drug testing. Random drug testing will be performed.
