Summary of Duties:

Duties include teaching four sections a semester of Professional Writing, with an emphasis on Health Sciences, as well as service in the Professional Writing Program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Terminal Degree at time of hire in Technical Communication, Rhetoric and Composition, English or related field

  • Expertise in professional, business or technical writing

  • Experience teaching at the college level

  • Successful candidate must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse university community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching professional, business or technical writing at the college level

  • Industry experience in professional writing/technical communication

  • Expertise in medical/health rhetoric, science writing, or digital production (web authoring, user experience, etc.)

This is a short-term career-track position.

Temporary End Date:

This is a short-term position expected to end on May 15, 2023. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
