Reporting to the Dean of the College of Innovation and Design (CID), the Undergraduate Enrollment Specialist will work with the Admissions and Enrollment teams to recruit, admit and enroll a robust, diverse pool of applicants for competency-based education (CBE) programs. They will support in managing an admissions pipeline and build relationships with key departments across the university. They will play an integral role in owning and implementing the admissions process and helping students enroll in our programs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, interested in relationship-building, and enthusiastic about CID's mission.

*****This is a grant-funded position with employment to begin no earlier than October 1, 2021 and extend no later than December 31, 2022.*****


  • Engage students at every stage of the admissions pipeline, with the goal of transforming prospective students into applicants, and applicants into enrolled students.

  • Execute outreach and recruitment measures via the phone, email or SMS, ensuring that targeted response times and accuracy guidelines are consistently met, to aid and support enrolling students.

  • Create and maintain a high level of contact with prospective students and community resources, to include community colleges, local business and industry partners, and military services.

  • Serve as a liaison between newly admitted CBE students and other relevant departmental units.

  • Assist in creating culturally-sensitive recruiting materials for underserved populations and prospective students.

  • Receive, organize, and maintain student applications and related admissions documents.

  • Ensure data integrity for all admissions-related contacts and accounts.

  • Perform transcript evaluations.

  • Create a "best fit" survey/app that helps sort students into correct program and delivery mode.


  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

  • Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Two years of experience in student recruiting/admissions, marketing, or a closely related field. Demonstrated excellence in customer service. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills via phone, text, and email. Strong expertise with MS Office, specifically Word and Excel; efficient in learning new software.

  • Ability to: Multi-task and work well as part of a team


Experience in SalesForce, TargetX, Banner, EAB, Peoplesoft, or similar admissions and enrollment management platforms highly preferred. Professional experience in higher education preferred.
