Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of FIELDWORK COORDINATOR - OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY (FULL-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Auburn Hills.General Statement of Duties:The Fieldwork Coordinator is responsible to serve as a liaison between Baker College and affiliated clinical sites by establishing and fostering productive relationships for the purpose of effectively assigning students at these sites. To support student achievement in the clinical learning environment by providing program-specific expertise and instruction under the direct supervision of the Program Director.Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Masters degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized regional or national accrediting body requiredLicensed occupational therapist in the state of Michigan requiredLicensed by Michigan Licensing and Regulatory AffairsCurrent certification with NBCOTRelevant work experience requiredAt least 1 year of clinical experience working as OTR is required, however 5 years is preferredDemonstrate competency in knowledge of occupational therapy, teaching skills, critical reasoning, positive interpersonal skills, performance skills, and ethical reasoning will be requiredMust be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, as well, as other program-specific technologiesKnowledgeable and proficient in computer skills, which allows for the use of computer related technologyAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigate and develop new clinical fieldwork sites which demonstrate adherence to applicable Accreditation standardsMaintain contact with existing fieldwork sitesRevise relevant documents necessary for student placement at clinical sitesEnsure that all legal contacts are in place and routinely reviewedOrient students prior to placement at the clinical fieldwork siteMonitor student progress through ongoing communication with the student and the clinical siteVisit fieldwork sites on a regular basis, preferably during student fieldwork experiencesMonitor student evaluations of fieldwork sitesTeach classes as assigned by the Occupational Therapy Program DirectorOther duties as assigned
