About the Position: Investment/Wealth Management Support Specialist
The Investment/Wealth Management Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to the areas of Wealth Management and Investments. The provided support would include preparing transactions and reporting, communicating with clients, managing asset transfers, and assisting the Investment Manager with financial planning, investment portfolios and unique assets.
Provides client support to Family Office relationships, which includes: Managing day-to-day transactions, communicating with client(s) on a frequent basis, financial reporting and entity-specific periodic reporting.
Prepares transactions for Wealth Management accounts for approval and processing.
Responds to client inquiries and service requests, providing a prompt and accurate response in a timely manner; referring complex issues to the Relationship Manager
Initiates and manages the transfer of incoming and outgoing assets. Communicating with Business Development, Relationship Management, Investments and/or Operations for proper documentation and accurate posting.
Manages outstanding items and exceptions for Wealth Management accounts.
Assists in the financial planning process, which includes: collecting, validating, analyzing financial data, and preparing reports in a financial planning software.
Prepares investment reports for Investments, Wealth Management and Trust Committee.
Assists in managing unique assets, which includes: appraisals, bookkeeping, custody/safekeeping, inspections, insurance and purchases/sales.
Assists in the completion of annual Reg 9 investments reviews.
Manages assigned tasks based on urgency and deadlines.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance preferred; or 2-3 years of related experience in the financial services industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires an understanding of investment securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, Exchange Traded Funds, etc.).
Requires an understanding of basic accounting principles.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Superior customer service skills and be detailed-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
