Manage, guide and assist in the development of the EHS Systems
Provide leadership, strategic guidance and training in the resolution of EHS systems issues
Drive EHS systems continuous improvement
Prioritize, guide and facilitate the activities of the EHS function to meet organizational goals, initiatives and requirements
Oversee the development of standard policies, procedures and practices to ensure customer requirements are embodied in the EHS system
Administer the implementation of the EHS system to assure the flow down of industry, customer and corporate standards
Establish and maintain uniform EHS performance metrics and reporting systems
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Drive improvements by promoting best practice methodologies and new technologies
Ensure team development by supporting an active training environment
Conduct periodic management reviews of the EHS system, monitor the effectiveness of implementation and report results to the staff
Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues resulting from internal, peer and external audits
Lead EHS improvement initiatives
Lead Human Performance initiative
Performs other work related duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree from an accredited insitution
5 years work experience in an investment casting environment.
10 years work experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing setting
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or other closely related Environmental, Health, and Safety area.
10 years work experience in a medium to heavy industrial and/or manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with the state of Indiana environmental regulations and their application.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience building trusting relationships with all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
