In partnership with the Foundation President and Chief Director of Development, help design, direct and carry out the development efforts of CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare to include maintaining Foundation board and constituent relations, and help design a complete fundraising program. The primary responsibility of the position will be cultivate, solicit and steward a major gift portfolio of individuals, foundations and corporations.

Follows the CHRISTUS Guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).
Manages a portfolio of significant major gift prospects and works closely with Foundation staff in developing effective strategies for each prospect and inputs progress of activities on a regular basis.
Maintains and develops a collaborative working relationship with assigned Foundation Board members and prospective donors that would include coordinating and conducting site visits of the ministries supported by the Foundation.
Develops and directs methods of identifying and cultivating donor relationships, solicitation of major gifts and donor stewardship. This includes grant and proposal writing and submission or requests.
Responsible for meeting and exceeding annual goals for donor visits and fundraising.
Identifies, and helps plan donor recognition opportunities.
Responsible for the development of a cultivation program to obtain long-range gifts including planned giving.
Assists with any capital campaign undertaken by the Foundation in order to meet campaign goals.
Attends Foundation board meetings, where appropriate, and special functions within the ministries.
Assists with planning and goal setting with the Chief Director of Development.
Provides activity reports to the Chief Director of Development and Foundation President on an established or requested basis reflecting personal activities, plans and goals.
Assists with other departmental functions and projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a nonprofit foundation with proven results required, Leadership training a plus.

A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a development role or in development administration or equivalent work experience at a nonprofit foundation, in sales, public relations or marketing.
