Our team is looking for a Super Cruise Performance Engineer to assist in the development and verification of the industries 1st "hands free" automated driving feature! This team member will guide the development of Super Cruise's towing capability and support the Super Cruise Performance integration teams with development and corrective action testing. This role will have a combination of in-vehicle testing, data analysis and supporting the evolution of Super Cruise features. As a Performance Engineer you will have the opportunity to influence the future of Super Cruise to maintain GMs leadership position in Automated Driving moving forward!


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead Super Cruise trailering PIT meeting and drive resolution of integration and performance issues

  • Raise awareness of issues to the Lead Automated Driving Engineers providing data driven solutions and recommendations

  • Support development of Analysis/Simulation methods to enable less reliance on physical properties. Define the strategy for infrastructure to support.

  • Gather/analyze data (i.e. development, calibration and validation) to support customer facing requirements.

  • Provide technical support to global regions throughout the GVDP to ensure robust program execution and performance

  • Lead development of standard work procedures and metrics

  • Provide PIT status at key program events

  • Work to move standard hardware work to simulation/data analysis




Additional Job Description



Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering degree

  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in an automotive or related industry

  • Experience with data analysis and the associated tools

  • Ability to root cause complex problems

  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others, and ability to establish peer relationships

  • Possess a valid driver's license and ability to operate test vehicles



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master of Science in Engineering

  • Experience in Active Safety or Automated Driving feature development or calibration

  • Validation experience
