Modis is hiring a Level II Field Support Technician, on a direct hire basis. This position will be responsible for maintenance, installations, and upgrades to local and wide, wired, and wireless computer networks as well as install and test network servers, operating system software, routers, switches, email accounts, setup laptops/desktops, and migrate clients into the cloud and other network equipment. A brief synopsis of the role's responsibilities is listed below:
3+ years of technical support experience; preferably in the medical/laboratory engineering field.
End user support through troubleshooting and applying knowledge via helpdesk calls, service board tickets and email requests.
Perform network monitoring diagnostics, proactive and preventative maintenance to ensure that network systems are operational and running at peak performance.
Network management activities to include, Active Directory, Domain Name Server (DNS) services, and Virtual Private Networks (VPN), disk space allocation, wireless access privileges, network performance monitoring systems, system logs, etc.
Configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting firewalls,implementing layer 3 routing and VLAN segmentation.
Must possess a high degree of intelligence, competence, maturity, adaptability, resilience, integrity, and initiative with a focus on customer service.
