1) maintenance, monitoring and assist in core technology platforms administration
2) providing Tier III response for firm applications support and
3) assist with the ongoing demands and assignments related to applications, networks and security demands.
Targets include networks monitoring, troubleshooting configurations, support of the premise/datacenter infrastructure, cloud services support, specific security monitoring, business applications support via help desk escalation. Specific technical areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, core business application configuration and maintenance, M365 platform expertise, Active Directory (on premise and Azure), Group Policy and MFA (DUO and Azure) management, patching, DHCP, Exchange, DNS, Intune, and other mission critical enterprise services. Tactical review of logs/alerts, assisting with security procedures and maintaining related documentation. In depth experience with Windows Server platform and Windows 10 troubleshooting. Individual must be highly functionable in a modern Microsoft centric IT enterprise ecosystem. In addition, this person must be a security-minded technologist with ability to adapt to evolving security frameworks (NIST, CIS Top 20 controls) across apps and services delivery. Ability to assist IT team in the delivery and alignment of security protocols that are layered throughout our application and access services. Manage, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure hardware, cloud, and software, including but not limited to Active Directory/GPOs, network infrastructure, VMware and HyperV clusters, Microsoft Exchange, and other infrastructure applications such as SIEM, Monitoring, NPS, etc.
Monitor and maintain physical network and core network services such as DNS, DHCP, VLANs, on physical/virtual servers, switches, access points, and routers.Monitor health and perform replacements and firmware updates
Manages endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, and other IT security applications.Investigates and remediates alerts.
Monitors data protection and health of SAN/NAS storage.
Performs daily assigned tactical duties (systems, application and security logs review, scheduled jobs monitoring, etc...).
Develops and maintains documentation as defined by Infrastructure Manager for approved processes and procedures.
Provides Tier III helpdesk support (networks, cloud services and applications).
Self-starter with the ability to work and communicate well within and across IT teams while balances multiple targets..
Administers and maintain various cloud-based document sharing, communication and support tools.
Assists with deployment of new desktop, server operating systems, applications and cloud eservices and security toolsets. Assist team with SCCM infrastructure, updates and patch cadences.
Communicates with software, hardware and network vendors on complex support issues.
Perform assigned cloud-based administration tasks and monitoring duties.
Assists with enterprise line of business applications delivery (security, user/app footprint, compute needs).
Assist in the evaluation, testing and implementation of specific software, security and network solutions.
Technical Documentation - Develop and maintain complete and accurate documentation of network layout, server hardware and software configurations, IP addresses, administrative and service account passwords, firewall and router configurations, workstation specifications, and software licenses.
Research, install, analyze, test and evaluate applications, systems, policies, methodologies, processes, and procedures to ensure that the Firm's Server infrastructure and facilities meet the Firm's expectations and Service Level Agreements for availability, performance, growth, and functionality. Assist with user security guidance and roadblocks.
Assist with assigned security related tasks and ancillary functions while maintaining firm security protocols and team communication.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Systems Administrator I must possess a minimum of 3 years' experience with Windows server/desktop and Network administration as well as related technical experience. Certifications to include Windows Server or Azure, A+, Network +. Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and strong analytical abilities are required. Must possess an excellent customer service attitude and the ability to work well with clients and other groups. Experience with Network switching/VLANs, cabling, Virtualization on prem or Cloud, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure Infrastructure, Intune, MFA/SAML, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, UPS, and physical datacenter/closet maintenance preferred. Basic understanding of network OSI model is required. Experience in delivery of apps and services in a modern security infrastructure. Occasional work evening and weekend work may be required, with little advance notice. Occasional travel may be required.
Experience with the following required (Vendor equivalent technologies will be considered):
Windows 10 in an Active Directory environment
Server virtualization utilizing VMWare/Microsoft technologies.
Solid experience with and understanding of managing Microsoft 365 technologies
Managing Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory hybrid environments and automation through Powershell.
