Our client in Kansas City is looking for a direct hire for a Director of Product Management. This person can be remote, but they can not sponsor and they need to be direct hire and not contract to hire.

Our technology platform makes complex omnichannel fulfillment and warehousing Smart, Flexible & Responsive so that our customers can focus on what they do best. We have built our software, SWIMS and Bubbles, to tech-enable people, giving us a key competitive advantage in solving the most challenging fulfillment requirements. We ship millions of orders for almost 1,000 customers across 30 warehouses nationwide (approximately 10MM sqft). The Director of Product Management is responsible for developing vision, strategy and align the organization using roadmaps and release planning.
The ideal candidate is a visionary product leader who is obsessed with making stakeholders successful. This individual must be able to identify key market opportunities for our products, collaborate effectively across our organization (and timezones) and support a team of great product managers. This is a highly visible role that is ready for a candidate who wants to take his or her career to the next level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Building collaborative relationships with key partners by helping to envision new business models, driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership
You have led teams through the process of developing a vision, strategy, and roadmaps
You have first-hand experience in applying Design Thinking to generate ideas and bring them to life
You have managed a portfolio of digital / software products and/or transformational programs within the enterprise environment
You can partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into tangible technical products
You are able to drive technical solutions into productive use by applying effective change management techniques - including future state process design, communications, training, etc.
Hire & retain top quality product management team members.
The position will report to the CTO.
"THE PERSON" | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or internationally recognized accrediting organization
8+ years experience in product management
5+ years experience building and leading high performing teams
Ability to drive business models and strategy
Proven track record of successful product ownership with high business impact
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, prioritize and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Partner with our senior leadership team to think big-picture and long-term
Business-driven with a passion for technology
The ideal candidate can point to examples of driving revenue or cutting cost through customer success and innovation
Fast learner that can quickly synthesize ideas, information, and options into a strategy, plan, or response and effectively communicate it
