The Pathology and Laboratory Department at University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to work in the UHealth Campus. The Clinical Research Coordinator 2 who will serves as a mid-level clinical research professional that will assists in the planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating specific clinical research studies. This role assists in the day-to-day operations of clinical research protocol implementation, and carries out study coordination duties from protocol initiation to study close-out according to regulatory/sponsor guidelines. The incumbent works closely with study team members and other staff/faculty/study sites to ensure study participant safety and adherence to approved protocols, help with study-related administrative tasks, facilitate across-the-board flow of information, and coordinate study activities and personnel.
Coordinates routine activities of clinical studies within the Pathology and Medicine Department at University of Miami including, but not limited to: data entry and maintenance, meet with monthly investigators to determine study needs, tracks and reviews medical documentation to generate reports.
Serves as project liaison to other departments within and outside of the organization as government agencies, and product representatives.
Administers informed consent forms for patients on applicable studies.
Evaluates and monitors timelines for studies and for each subject participant to comply with applicable protocols.
Coordinates the necessary testing for patient evaluations per physicians' orders and study protocol requirements.
Assist Senior Clinical Research Coordinators and Research Manager in the creation and implementation of new project plans.
Assist in to process requests for Pathology slides and tissue samples for research
Assist Research Manager to prepare IRB applications in eProst and monitor active protocols for modifications, continuing review and reporting.
Participate in UHealth Tower Clinical Research Feasibility Committee Meetings
Assist in the processing Pathology Ancillary Review for UM IRB applications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data.

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
