Primary Purpose

The Systems Administrator, Productivity Technologies Engineering is a member of the Productivity Engineering Technologies team. Key duties of this position include optimizing, automating, ticketing, tracking, and delivering local and remote support for all Ferrara Candy Company consumers of IT. This position has primary responsibility for the execution of strategies to uptake, usage, and impact of our current system management platform to maintain automation that improves efficiencies and reduces support costs. This position must work closely with the management to implement and support the ongoing delivery of technical mentorship and direction.

Major Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Actively seek out technical solutions to improve team efficiency and performance.

  • Work with management to provide required IT services within the facilities (computers, printers, copiers, phones, paging). Schedule contractors as necessary. Work with management to ensure that the needs of the business are anticipated and satisfied.

  • Cloud technologies, Office 365, and Zoom Experience.

  • Analyze and act upon enterprise security solution data sets.

  • Analyze and act upon enterprise operational datasets.

  • Act as an escalation point from the level 1 and level 1.5 support teams.

  • Execute and track enterprise wide end-point update solution projects.

  • Audit activities for complete and consistent outcomes for Windows and OSX end-points, MDM, printing solutions, and end-point security solutions for the enterprise.

  • Execution, creation, and deployment of enterprise wide configuration and procedure for Windows and OSX end-points, MDM, and end-point security solutions for the enterprise.

    • Examples of in scope activities include but are not limited to:

      • Software package build and deployment

      • MDM policy configuration and rollout

      • Security policy implementation and management

      • Windows and OSX image build process maintenance

  • Enterprise wide administration and implementation of general purpose and application specific ( e.g. SAP) printing solutions supporting diverse end points including Windows, OSX, and mobile devices.

  • Perform onsite and remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex computer problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including repairs as needed. Effectively communicate the actions required to resolve issues and escalate issues in a timely manner if problems are not resolved including working with third-party support and vendors.

  • Actively monitor ticket queues, take ownership of requests and enter details regarding problem resolution.

  • Develop and sustain KPI's for process and procedural activities supporting measurable outcomes with the objective of driving a process of continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrate flexibility with projects and inquiries with the ability to manage multiple projects and to establish priorities with minimal supervision.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with very stringent deadlines.

  • Maintain asset inventory for the full life cycle of any tracked asset.

  • Assist in new technology initiatives.

  • After hours and evening support is a requirement.

  • Identify, create, maintain, and update IT and end user documentation.

  • Maintain automated installation and update packages for software packages on the Windows and OSX operating systems.

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.

  • Understands and demonstrates the Company's core values.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience providing technical support for hardware, software, and network components

  • Experience with a systems management platform such as MECM.

  • Experience writing and maintaining scripts.

  • Batch and/or Powershell experience a plus.

  • Experience maintaining silent installation packages

  • Experience maintaining automation for workstation operating system images

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

  • Professional Mac OS experience a plus.

  • Certifications such as CCNA, Net +, A+, MCP, and/or ITIL a plus

  • Understanding of Networking

    • Switches, Routers, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, Latency, VoIP, and/or QoS a plus
