Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for answering and directing incoming Incident Intervention calls to appropriate associates.

  2. Enter cases into database system in a timely manner.

    1. Create case by obtaining employee demographic information and enter into database.

    2. Send appropriate notification to the client

    3. Task clinician for follow-up

  3. Review after hour messages and Clinician notes.

    1. Create a case (if applicable)

    2. Enter documentation

    3. Send notification to the client

    4. Assign Clinician to created case.

  4. Provide assistance to WorkCare Clinicians in case follow-up, clinic visitations, medical records and case notes.

  5. Contact clinics or hospitals to obtain employee medical records as needed

  6. Enter and create cases received from other departments.

  7. Check right fax and attach documents to appropriate cases

  8. Based on state guidelines schedule clinic visits for

    1. Nurses

      1. Onsite

      2. II department

    2. Physicians

    3. Send GPL

  9. Coordinate and schedule peer to peer with clinic provider and WorkCare Physician.

  10. Assists with fulfilling client material request.

  11. Assist clinicians with

    1. Case follow up

    2. Clinic visits

    3. Medical records request

    4. Entering case notes

  12. When needed, could have responsibility for assisting with training/re-training intake coordinators.

  13. Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified by supervisor for the efficient operation of WorkCare.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one to three years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Experience preferred.

Language Skills

Must have the ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking and/or project support situations; the ability to create and edit written materials; the skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities; and the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.

Computer Skills

Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
