We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Plant Process Manufacturing Engineer to join our Plant Operations Services team and help us drive operational performance throughout our facilities.
Provide engineering support for production approved work cells by leading efforts to resolve manufacturing process issues and by driving continuous improvement efforts.
Champion COMAR’s process improvement culture (TPI-Three).
Provide technical support through COMAR’s Stage Gate Project Management Process for new plant business to ensure fully integrated, optimized, end-to-end solutions that meet expectations and deliver promised results.
Evaluate new projects presented for suitability to plant capabilities and strategies. Provide feedback to ensure new projects meet plant expectations and requirements.
Work with cross-functional teams to monitor and evaluate projects at all stages, from project kickoff, through process development, validation, and through production release.
Implement projects to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and reduce cost.
Provide technical support and engineering solutions to ensure that safety, environmental, regulatory quality, performance, operating efficiency, maintenance, cost, and customer requirements are met prior to approving release of new tooling or work cell projects to the plant’s production team.
Provide process diagnostics and troubleshooting support for molding, assembly, automation, and/or secondary operation jobs in production or development. Develop engineering solutions and support or lead efforts to resolve production process, tooling, and/or work cell related issues.
Actively participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and provide technical support or lead corrective and preventative action teams.
Manage internal resources and outside vendors during repair, refurbishment, and/or modification to injection molds, work cells, and any associated equipment while ensuring proper change control management to meet or exceed customer and plant requirements and standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned or needed.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Associate degree in Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 2 years project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
2 years of project management experience in the injection molding field with experience in an ISO 9001/ISO 13485 environment.
Understanding of the design and construction of injection molds, molding machines and secondary operations including, but is not limited to, pad printing, ultrasonic welding, and assembly.
Experience in a 3D CAD package, particularly Solidworks.
Experience using the Enterprise Resource Planning System, IQMS.

Possess good working knowledge of PC’s and software with proficiency in advanced techniques with relevant software (MS Office, AutoCAD, Smart Sheets, PDF documents).
Ability to lead cross functional teams to effectively execute assigned projects.
