Job Description:

Schaeffler, a global, automotive, and industrial supplier is seeking a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist for our Fort Mill, SC location. This position is responsible for the administration and strategy for diversity and inclusion including coordinating, planning, and implementing affirmative action plans, and leading the design and implementation of employee resource groups. The role works to ensure affirmative action compliance, as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives for the Americas.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Serve as subject-matter expert in Affirmative Action Compliance


  • Review company practices and policies, ensure they align with diversity standards, and provide r ecommendations for institutional policy revisions that will foster an environment of diversity and inclusion


  • C omplete annual EEOC reporting by collecting and analyze statistical data to evaluate the company's population in accordance with diversity standards and goals


  • Implement and develop diversity training programs, provide training and policy updates, and ensure legal compliance of management and HR staff


  • Develop and implement affirmative action initiatives


  • Create communication promoting diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives


  • Track metrics and diversity analytics to measure progress of diversity initiatives


  • H ost focus groups regionally regarding diversity and inclusion (Canada, Mexico, USA, and South America)


  • Launch employee resource groups per regional demand and design employee communication, facilitate elections, and budget management


Qualified candidates will have


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, or other relevant field


  • Master's degree preferred


  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience with diversity and inclusion programs


  • Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus


  • 2 years of experience conducting diversity training


  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse workforce and provide leadership in organizational change


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, and strong computer skills


  • Ability to travel regionally with potential international travel


  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
