40-50 hours per week, 12-month contract. During the school year, coordinators work daily from the mid-morning until programs conclude each evening.

Description
The After-School Curriculum Coordinator and Instructional Coach collaborate with NMA's leadership team, teachers, students, and families to cultivate and sustain a culture of learning that meets the diverse needs of students. The After-School Curriculum Coordinator and Instructional Coach is responsible for creating curriculum (math and ELA) and training and coaching tutors.

The After-School Curriculum Coordinator and Instructional Coach is responsible for the following:

Implement NMA's recovery plan, Hnub Tshiab, by creating a curriculum and providing instructional coaching that increases student achievement
Collaborate with the ASP Coordinator and NMA's Academic Coaches to identify students for summer school, ASP, and/or targeted tutoring
Collaborate with the ASP Coordinator to recruit and hire staff for summer school, ASP, and/or targeted tutoring
Collaborate with the NMA's Academic Coaches to write curriculum
Train all after-school teachers and tutors in effective instructional practices
Coach all after-school teachers and tutors to continually develop their instructional practices
Order supplies and materials; coordinate curriculum

Collaborate with the ASP Coordinator to recruit students and maintain accurate student rosters and records
Create and implement a plan to monitor student learning in summer school, ASP, and/or targeted tutoring programs
Promote school safety by abiding by NMA's safety protocols
Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings to learn current practices and educational trends related to the position
Maintain a growth mindset and a positive attitude; successfully solve problems
Perform duties as assigned by the principal
Follow all school policies
