Location: Florence, Kentucky
High-visibility position reporting directly to Sales Director that will be responsible for all activities relating to sales, people, and customers for the eastern U.S. region. This position will have a team of 7 direct reports that consist of Meritor district sales managers. This role is instrumental for the overall success of the aftermarket sales team.

• Utilization and analysis of sales data & sales pipeline to assist in the planning of region & customer activities

• High level of engagement with leadership, peers, and business units
• Gain a deep level of understanding & knowledge of the region relating to key customer activities & competitor activities
• Demonstrate a leadership discipline that takes the initiative vs. waiting for others
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
• 5+ years’ experience of managing & leading an outside sales team required
• Relevant industry experience preferred
• Sales pipeline management / CRM tool experience (Salesforce, preferred)
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent presentation skills to both small and large audiences
• Critical thinking & negotiation skills
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to travel 75% of the time
