Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Operator to join our ISP Chemicals business at our Chatham, NJ location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Manufacturing function. This position will report to the Plant Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Make good notes on worksheets: neat, clean and accurate


• Work in an orderly fashion. receive workload from Production Lead and work diligently to complete the job


• Plan or seek work for available time during workweek


• Develop a clear understanding for the goals of each process


• Be ready and willing to accept new assignments in other areas, if needs develop


• Observe and implement all safety and environmental rules


• Brain any discrepancy observation or expectation to the immediate attention of the Production Lead


• Follow procedures at all times


• Work well together with fellow employees

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

• High school diploma


• Chemical Process Knowledge


• Follow written instruction to complete batch manufacture


• Computer efficiency for spreadsheet information


• Effective oral and written communication skills
