Utility painter wanted for the ASH assembly and distribution department. This position is required for the painting of in-house assemblies, castings and machine components, as well as occasional pipe cutting.

To qualify the candidate must have a High School Degree or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment painting.

Daily duties required for this position:
• Sprays surfaces of casted, manufactured products, or assemblies using spray gun or brush.
• Cleans grease and dirt from product, using materials, such as lacquer thinner, turpentine, soap, and water.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer.
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Maintains painting equipment, as well as requesting parts for repairs.
• Requires use of respirator while performing painting duties, fit tests will be required.
• Ensures proper storage and disposal of paints and chemicals.
• Requires use of horizontal band saw for cutting cast pipe.
• Operates overhead crane, forklifts or side loader to transfer product within surrounding area.To qualify the candidate must have a High School Degree or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment painting.
