Financial Analyst, Commissions & Rebates FP&A

BIOTRONIK is looking to add a Financial Analyst, Commissions & Rebates FP&A to our Commissions and Rebates Team.  About the team: The Commissions and Rebates Team manages commissions & rebates reporting for all business divisions across BIOTRONIK. We provide a strategic partnership with our business partners by developing and processing compensation and rebates plans that are motivating and align with company goals in driving growth. We strive for accuracy, timeliness, and reaching several channels to execute on all our processes, while also providing insightful analysis and data to the various groups we support.

About the role: This role requires a result oriented and organized candidate determined to be a subject matter expert for incentive processes and the software used in the implementation. RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Works closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, HR and Legal teams to ensure accurate incentive plan administration, compliance, calculations and results

  • Read, understand, and translate contractual agreements into incentive calculations. 

  • Compiles, calculates, and processes incentive payouts for commissionable sales reps and customer rebates.

  • Creates, reviews, and analyzes data to summarize findings for Management.

  • General understanding of compensation and customer incentive practices and trends

  • Set up and maintain commission and rebate agreements, including the management of commission and rebates records and documentation.

  • Become a process subject matter expert.

  • Perform research and analysis to identify and resolve incentive discrepancies related to various financial and/or business partner requirements.

  • Cross Train to run month-end commission and rebate calculations, including calculating certain manual adjustments, manual Sales Achievements, and reconciling payments.

  • Creation of and publication of monthly commission statements, including the review and validation of commission amounts and underlying sales detail as described in the Employee Agreement Details and Customer contract.

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and other analysis related projects.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other technical fields (Sciences/Mathematics)

  • At least 2 years’ experience performing general analyst duties

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with all levels of management

  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines

  • Strong project management, communication, presentation, time-management and organizational skills

  • General employment contract analysis skills with the ability to understand contractual agreements

  • Experience as a Commissions/Rebates Specialist or Programmer or similar role at a fast-growing company, preferred

  • Experience with Incentive Compensation Software such as Vistex (SAP), Callidus, CompenSafe or other incentive compensation software, preferred

  • Experience with and ability to think in terms of computer programming logic, preferred

  • Experience in Salesforce, SQL or similar, preferred
