Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
Performing welding functions.
Installing and maintaining electrical controls, circuits, and PLC units.
Troubleshooting and identifying worn parts and rebuilding machine assemblies.
Participation in equipment preventative maintenance program.
Strict adherence to all safety guidelines, rules, policies and procedures.
Safe handling and use of various chemicals with strict adherence to Hazardous Communication and MSDS requirements.

Applicant must have knowledge of pneumatic, electro-mechanical systems and practical knowledge of equipment and plant electrical systems.
Must have the ability to analyze electro-mechanical devices, trouble shoot failures and implement repairs.
Must have written and verbal skills to effectively communicate.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, scaffolds, and access rooftops.
Flexibility to work overtime and partial weekends.
Wiliness to learn new equipment and processes.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school or technical school education.
Three (3) or more years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Textile industry, Garnett or Card machines a plus.
Electrical background a strong plus.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
