The Outpatient Nurse Director has oversight of procedural areas including GI/Cath Lab, Cardiac Testing and Wound Care. As the director, strategic alignment with organizational goals, fiscal accountability, and outcomes will be the focus for this position. Mentoring nursing managers and staff specific to leadership development is expected. Positive physician relationships are crucial to the success of this role and the departments involved. This role demonstrates strategic planning, leadership and management skills. This Director must have excellent communication, organization and critical-decision making skills required. The ability to effectively interact, build consensus and mediate differences with all levels of staff within the organization and community is imperative as well as the ability to analyze and interpret business trends and present complex information. This role includes successful completion of annual management, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.
