Your Role



Newmont is seeking a General Foreperson for the Fixed Asset Process Maintenance to directly supervise all planning and scheduling functions for the safe maintenance and repairs of the Crushing, Milling and Adsorption Desorption Recovery Plants. This role is accountable to ensure that all approved mechanical, electrical and contractor work is properly planned, scheduled and coordinated within multiple departments. This role will have 9 direct reports.





What You Will Do




  • Felt Visible Leadership to all Process Employees.

  • Safety of yourself and the direct reports and team members

  • Environmental Compliance

  • Ensure that planned work standards are reliable, repeatable and best practices are replicated across all fixed plants

  • Understand maintenance reliability to reduce unplanned down and re-do work

  • Ensure that direct reports follow methods or procedures specified by asset management team and work management guidelines.

  • Ensure direct reports apply task lists, materials (BOM’s), tools, equipment, ect to all planned work orders within SAP.

  • Proactively manage and hold team accountable to continuously create and maintain task lists and update BOM’s based on execution feedback

  • Facilitate pre-commitment (draft) and commitment meetings

  • Attend daily, weekly and monthly work management meetings

  • Ensure all system generated notifications are converted to work orders and work packages by the planning team

  • Work closely with Execution General Foreperson to understand all break in and urgent work to help identify improvement areas

  • Perform routine QA/QC of completed work packages with planning staff

  • Be part of hiring, mentoring, coaching and succession planning

  • Assist in Environmental State and Compliance Inspection

  • Manage performance issues when necessary.

Training, Skills and Experience Checklist




  • Previous computer experience in SAP, Projects, Word and Power Point

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work directly with others

  • Able to read P&ID drawings

  • Strong knowledge of work management is preferred

  • Previous supervisor experience is preferred




Working Conditions and Location




  • This role will be based at our Cripple Creek and Victor mine site



The salary range offered for this role is $104,550.00 - 129,150.00. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.   

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
