Job Description

The 2nd Shift Production Manager provides direction and leadership for packaging cannabis oils and other formulations at our cultivation and processing center on the second shift. They will be responsible for the people and team development and continual monitoring of materials, equipment, and staffing necessary to deliver finished goods on time in full. The 2nd Shift Production Manager collaborates with the processing manager to fulfill PharmaCann's packaging goals to meet dynamic production demand.

The Processing Manager will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and effectively packaging the cannabis materials into high quality, food-safe products, including cannabis oils and liquids for ingestion, inhalation, solid dosages, or topical application by registered patients.

Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions)

Responsibilities include:

* Ensure 2nd shift team compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures

* Manage processing equipment supplies and inventory.

* Supervises the manufacture and packaging of finished products

* Establish the weekly labor plan

* Flex production plans on a day by day basis to prevent service issues and operations inefficiencies

* Exhibits in-depth knowledge of solid and liquid pharmaceutical production operations including equipment, materials, and workflow, etc

* Leads 2nd shift operations by providing expertise, training, and guidance to production and quality assurance personnel to ensure completion and delivery..

* Responsible for managing, mentoring, developing high-performance teams, and providing direction to direct reports, including performance reviews and disciplinary processes.

* Manages a team responsible for executing the 2nd shift daily and weekly production plan. Manages weekly time attendance system for timely processing of employee payroll transactions.

* Collaborates with the Processing Manager to identify and drive continuous improvement/lean manufacturing initiatives through the design and implementation of improved manufacturing strategies.

* Carries out all procedures in an efficient manner that also complies, OSHA regulations, PharmaCann SOP's and all applicable procedures.

* Support other departments in the manufacturing and packaging of PharmaCann's medical cannabis product line as needed.

* Ensures compliance and accuracy involving all raw material and product tracking, security, and movement procedures in the ERP.

* Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.

* Embodies the culture, values, and tenets of PharmaCann and full support of our purpose, goal, and key objectives.

Qualifications

Qualifications

* Education/Experience: An associate's or bachelor's degree in science, engineering or business is preferred.

* A minimum of 5 years experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.

* A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

* LEAN manufacturing experience is preferred.

* Working knowledge of manufacturing machinery and tools.

* Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office or Google Docs.

* Proven ability to lead teams.

* Ability to maintain confidential data.

* Ability to utilize digital inventory control systems, ERP system experience is preferred.

* Highly organized, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

* Outstanding organization and leadership abilities.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong work ethic - self-motivated and results-driven. Strong coaching and development skills to onboard new employees, including instruction on safety protocols and department SOPs.

Working conditions

Available for nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Physical requirements

Standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying product totes, pushing carts, moving and making adjustments to process equipment
