Job Description:

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for a high energy, detail-oriented Senior Store Manager to join our team!  This position would be responsible for all operations in a fast paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment.  The ideal candidate will support our core values of respect, excellence and integrity with a focus on great customer service, and the ability to effectively lead a team. Pay: $50,000 - $55,000


Job Type: Full-Time


Hours of Operation:


Monday-Saturday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM


Essential Duties and Tasks:



  • Key decision maker in improving operational processes and workflows that enhance the efficiency and quality of store results in collaboration with the Store Managers.

  • Leads and develops Store Managers within designated multi-unit (cluster) to ensure store and employees are compliant with Goodwill’s policies and procedures.

  • Manage store expense control and payroll to optimize business.

  • Focus staff on Loss Prevention priorities and Safety Awareness.

  • Follow company guidelines to foster a positive shopping experience.

  • Train, develop and manage a team of Associates and Assistant Managers.

  • Ability to make good hiring decisions while following the companies hiring process.

  • Manage and coach all associates on achieving sales goals with a focus on key metrics.


  • Develop a culture of goal attainment focused on the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma or GED, required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 1-3 years of management/supervisory experience.

  • Retail, logistics, warehouse or light manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Previous Multi-unit leadership role is preferred.

  • Must have the ability to work a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Travel to other locations beyond the assigned work location is required.

Physical Demands:



  • Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights. 

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store.
