Your Responsibilities

As a Hydraulics Design Engineer for John Deere Global Crop Harvestinglocated in Silvis, Illinois, you will:


  • Specify, develop, and implement hydraulic components and sub-systems for combine harvesters and front-end equipment.

What Skills You Need


  • 3 or more years of experience in the development or application of
  • hydraulic components and systems.
  • 3 or more years of experience in the development of
  • hydraulic routings.
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated development of creative, efficient, and cost-effective solutions to technical problems.

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Skilled in the use of Creo Parametric, including large assembly management and Pro/Piping.
  • Familiarity with Automation Studio and basic circuit simulation.
  • Internships, relevant course work, and/or practical experience related to hydraulic components and systems for use in mobile/off-road equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot hydraulic systems.
  • Understanding of hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience developing new hydraulic circuits.
  • Familiarity with mobile hydraulics suppliers and their product offerings.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or agricultural engineering with at least three years of related product development experience.
