Division Information

Kenworth Truck Company is the manufacturer of The World's Best heavy and medium duty trucks. Requisition Summary

The ideal candidate is one that is proactive in working with suppliers, quality and production to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at all stages of the manufacturing process (Receipt to Sale). Close Monitoring and follow up of daily KPI's, high attention to detail, and MRP system knowledge/experience is critical to providing accurate root cause analysis and continuous improvement solutions.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

*Benchmark other PACCAR locations and non-PACCAR locations for best practices related to Inventory Control.
*Develop Processes, KPI's, and standard work for:
oInventory Accuracy & Control (within organization & 3PL partners)
oSupplier Performance
oMaterials Department Plant Deliverables
oMaster Data Accuracy / Maintenance
*Build and Lead an Inventory Control Team
*Work closely with quality, purchasing, EDI team and management to drive resolutions of discrepancies to closure.
*Conduct Inventory accuracy/shortage reduction workshops/training and adopt best practice solutions as a result.
*Provide Plant management with timely information regarding inventory metrics.
*Manage daily cycle count reports and weekly statistical inventory reports.
*Drive Supplier corrective action plans that impact inventory accuracy
*Contribute as a key team member of the organization's MRP System Launch Team
*Perform other projects and assignments as may be required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
*Four-year degree in business administration, supply chain management, or IT Development (Operating Systems).
*Experience in ERP manufacturing and statistical inventory management environment required, SAP R/3 or SAP S/4 HANA strongly preferred.
*Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
*Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and issues.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Minitab software is a plus.
*Strong Dashboard Systems Experience (i.e. Power Bi, Tableau)
*Applicant should have a basic understanding of Six Sigma practices; Green belt/Lean belt certification preferred.
*Applicants must be able to multi-task, prioritize, successfully handle pressure, and work/make decisions independently when required.
*Successful candidate is safety-conscious, self-motivated, a team player, and is able to think proactively.
*Minimum of two-years in fast paced manufacturing or distribution experience required.
*Minimum of two-years inventory control experience required.
*Candidate must have flexibility to support operational needs to maintain inventory accuracy across three shifts.

Education

*BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, MATERIALS MANAGEMENT, OPERATIONS OR RELATED FIELD REQUIRED
