Your Responsibilities

As an Electrical Quality Engineer for John Deere Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL, you will....


  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis on electrical and software quality issues for both internal and supplier products
  • Independently resolve or facilitate closed loop corrective actions for machine software, electrical or calibration issues
  • Manage non-conforming material and return to vendor processing for all electrical components
  • Support the Deere Continual Improvement process for Electrical Software and calibration

What Skills You Need


  • 2 or more years of experience in OFP quality and/or shop floor operations with electrical or software/calibration troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of electrical drawings and schematic interpretation, wiring harness fabrication understanding, has good understanding of the principles and can work with others to learn and use the knowledge
  • Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with salaried and wage personnel in a team environment
  • Experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases
  • Experience with root cause analysis, equipment/machine troubleshooting and diagnostics

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Experience with shop floor documentation (Sequence of Events, SAR, PFMEA, and Operator Methods Sheets)
  • Heavy Equipment Knowledge (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical Systems)
  • Understanding of Supply Management Process
  • Experience with product test & verification systems (John DeereTester/Smart Test)

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in the field.
