Job Description

The Mechanic C is responsible for preventive maintenance, repair and installation of high volume automated processing equipment and facility systems. Also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Maintain knowledge of how the facility and manufacturing equipment operates

  • Performs minor manufacturing and facilities repairs, including manufacturing equipment changeovers

  • Performs all PMs as required

  • Will act as a helper to higher-grade mechanics

  • Duties could include changing light bulbs, painting, light carpentry, replacing switches, ballasts, receptacles, etc.

  • Lubricates and makes minor repairs to equipment





Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

  • Military experience a plus

  • Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use all basic hand tools

  • Experience working in and around mechanical equipment, preferably in a food/pharmaceutical/nutriceutical environment

  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed

  • Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions

  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc within a manufacturing environment
