Set up and fabrication of high dollar value optical crystals and components as requested by supervision. Fills in where needed. Knowledgeable in multiple areas of the fabrication process.

Education/Learning Experience

High School graduate. Some college math highly desirable.

Work Experience:

• Essential: Minimum 2 years of relevant broad optical fabrication experience with challenging materials.
• Highly Desirable: Experience of superpolish finishing, optical contacting, inspection and documentation.

Skills/Knowledge

• Focus on job in hand.
• Good shop math ability.
• Able to understand prints.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work to tight time scales.
• Able to work independently over 80% of the time.
• Able to assist in the training of new hires.
