Purpose

Learn the process of how gold is extracted all while earning a living. Newmont is seeking Process Operator’s willing to take the next step in their career. If you have a willingness to learn then Newmont Mining wants you.

Essential Duties

• Complete check-off sheets for standard operating procedure manuals for certified equipment.


• Clean up around crusher and conveyors, unplug chutes, clean-blinded screens, and remove wood and other material from conveyors.


• Assist ADR, Crusher and PSES operators when needed.


• Monitor conveyor, lube, and dust suppression systems to ensure proper operation.


• Perform NaCN and pH titrations on process solutions.


• Correctly and legibly record operating reports.


• Monitor and correct through flow adjustments and report on pond levels daily.


• Find, correct, and accurately report any VLF problems.


• Inspect Valley Leach Facility to ensure proper operation.


• Must be able to read, write, and possess basic math skills;


• Lead by example, in all Newmont’s safety and environmental practices, ensuring complete safe practices;

Training & Experience

• Will hire entry-level based on past experience.


• Wear and use all required PPE (hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.)


• Working knowledge of Process Operations preferred.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating schedule.

This position has multiple levels (which may range from level 1 up to level 5). The hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is $$26.86- $36.06. The hourly rate is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado.  The specific level and hourly rate that is offered to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The hourly rate offer will not be based on a candidate’s wage rate history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about wage rate history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
