We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:

• Join our remarkable and highly specialized nursing professionals on the Critical Care Float team.


• Provide care in a wide variety of high-level nursing skills such as evaluating intensive care patients, administering care, recognizing complications and coordinating with other members of the critical care team.


• Collaborate with team members and excel at interpersonal communication, leadership, strategic planning, critical thinking and decision-making.

Education:

Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing.

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) years relevant critical care experience in an acute care setting. Telemetry experience.

Preferred - Two (2) years relevant experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification.  ACLS certification.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Experience providing care to a diverse population of patients/families.


• Commitment to providing nursing care that is patient and family centered. 


• Compassionate, non-judgmental, respectful and accountable.


• Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.


• Experience in teaching patients and families.


• Excellent communication skills. 


• Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members.

Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:

This is a Day/Evening position with variable/rotating (8) eight and (12) twelve-hour shifts Monday-Friday and every other weekend between the hours of 0700-2330. Weekend and holiday rotation required. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department.
