Job Summary:

The successful candidate will function as a Field Engineer for the THAAD Missile Defense System and will assist the customer in multiple facets of the program. The candidate will be a member of a support team and will perform all duties under direct supervision and cross-train to gain proficiency working with other elements of the THAAD system.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Maintain all peculiar support equipment.

  • Provide the services required to support the fielded peculiar support equipment to include:

    • Provide and manage the data inputs and record any resulting actions within the Repair Center database.

    • Record and maintain daily activity logs.

    • Support peculiar support equipment inspections and testing for corrosion issues.

    • Generate a monthly reporting requirements log.

    • Support the maintenance and calibration of all special tools and equipment

    • Perform Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) in support of UAE THAAD Battery sustainment operations.

    • Provide guidance and assistance to support the mitigation and prevention of corrosion on the UAE tactical equipment

    • Support Missile Preventative and Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and conduct annual maintenance on all UAE missile rounds in the UAE. 

    • Maintain Liquid Propellant Accident Response Team (LPART) suits and equipment.

    • Support annual surveillance of up to 144 missile rounds per year.

    • Support movements of Missile Rounds on tactical sites.

    • Collect, package and deliver system data files from the TFCC and Launchers to the United Arab Emirates. 



  • Support System Integration and Checkouts (SICO) for software upgrades; support includes:

    • Load software

    • Conduct integration test & document results

    • Respond to Certified Test Conductor (CTC) requirements



Minimum Qualifications: 


  • U.S citizenship

  • Able to obtain U.S. Passport

  • Must possess an active security clearance SECRET level or higher

  • Must pass a background check to include criminal and credit

  • Able to meet the requirements for residence in the United Arab Emirates

  • Ability to establish and maintain networks (e.g. LAN, WAN, IP address schemes)

  • Working knowledge of Unix and Linux

  • Basic electrical / mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics

  • Ability to apply fault detection / fault isolation procedures

  • Basic understanding of hydraulic operations

  • Basic understanding of the Army Supply System

  • Ability to apply appropriate Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation standards

  • Ability to manage and account for inventory

Desired Qualifications:  


  • Experience with the THAAD or Patriot System(s)

  • Knowledge or experience with U.S. Army Material Maintenance Management

  • Fluent in Arabic language (reading and writing)

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
