We are looking for a talented Director of Marketing Operations to join our growing Marketing team. This position would be ideal for someone who is looking to move from an advanced technical position to a leadership role at an expanding and well-respected company. As a key member of this high-performing group you’ll help us scale our programs across a variety of owned and paid channels, including digital advertising, email marketing, and lead nurturing activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a significant budget cost-effectively with the goal of marketing campaign optimization that improves KPIs and drives conversion
Oversee campaign operations, including managing and optimizing our owned and paid campaign channels such as marketing email, digital advertising programs, and related demand generation campaigns
Drive ongoing process improvement, and deliver robust performance analytics and insights throughout the marketing funnel and across all product areas
Support Marketing data management in conjunction with our IT and Sales teams
Implement, track and enhance ongoing nurture programs
Recommend, select and manage relevant enablement tools to optimize audience outreach for thought leadership and awareness campaigns
Work closely with web team and external agencies to maintain and improve SEO effectiveness
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
As the leader of the Marketing Ops team you will manage both internal and external staff and work with your Marketing, analytics, and data-management peers across the company, so the ability to communicate effectively to set expectations and fearlessly read out performance impact of changes is essential.
Strong project management skills and an ability to juggle multiple priorities are required. We are a fun, friendly and supportive team, but we move quickly!
We utilize a variety of MarTech tools including Marketo, Microsoft BI, and Google Analytics. Proficiency with Marketo is strongly preferred.
This is not a data scientist role, but extra credit given for familiarity with quality data visualization and the ways in which data can be translated to business intelligence
You must have sharp technical troubleshooting skills, and a proactive, problem-solving orientation; this position is a key part of the team that is breaking new ground and establishing new business processes
EXPERIENCE
Solid understanding of the current digital ad network management environment
Technical proficiency in an enterprise-level marketing automation system with preference for Marketo
Experience in B2B marketing preferred; if you have B2G marketing experience that is a bonus, but not required
Experience working with Marketing and Product subject matter and technical experts, with an ability to translate objectives into channel recommendations
Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing or related technical field
5-7 years of experience in a senior operational role at a digital marketing agency, in-house digital marketing team, or similar environment.
