Job Description

The Global Fund Banking Limited Partner ("LP") Relations Associate is responsible for supporting the LP Relations Team in managingand maintaining relationships with Limited Partners in the PE/VC ecosystem. Core responsibility includes attending calls and meetings with Limited Partners and General Partners ("GP"), actively maintaining a database of investor preferences and funds that are open to Limited Partner introductions. The LP Relations Associate will be responsible for tracking all activity related to LP introductions to clients/prospects of the bank and following-up for status updates, when appropriate. This role will be externally facing, but the LP Relations Associate will also be responsible for working with Relationship Managers within GFB to accurately track and provide support for their Limited Partner discussions. Associate will work closely with and provide support to Senior members of the LP Relations team, in addition to working closely with GFB's Sales Operations team to develop and maintain databases and dashboards for senior members of the team to review and utilize. Critical thinking skills will be utilized in support of senior members of the team, helping them build and maintain and build an active pipeline of LP relationships. This role will also assist in GFB's LP diligence process, helping identify LPs the LP Relations team has strong relationships with to confirm underlying capital commitments to clients of the bank.

Essential Functions:


  • Participating in calls with both GPs and LPs, actively taking notes and consolidating into an aggregated system.

  • Maintaining and updating records for LPs and any introduction activity between LPs and GPs.

  • Responsible for data integrity as it relates to CRM and other software systems and any metrics the LP Relations team is actively tracking.

  • Assisting in the creation of certain materials to position the LP Relationship platform to LPs and GPs.

  • In conjunction with VP/MD, review LP lists for newly signed term sheets to see if LP Relations team can confirm certain commitment amounts to underlying managers.

  • Assist in the creation of insights/thought pieces based on data collected from LPs & GPs.

  • Create monthly deliverables to share with leadership to show progress of introductions, meetings held and results.

  • Utilizes decision making and independent judgement in creating deliverables and thought pieces for leadership.

  • Utilizes decision making and independent judgement for building increasing levels of expertise and sharing that with colleagues.


Recommendations:
  • Recommends LP follow-ups based on tracking information. Reviews information data sets to prepare fundraising/allocation insights.

Qualifications:

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of Limited Partner universe and PE/VC fund structures.

Skills:

  • Able to remain organized and lead all administrative components in support of an exciting and dynamic initiative within GFB.

  • Ability to lead simultaneous assignments and produce results in time-sensitive circumstances.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience

  • Norelated experiencerequired.


Preferred Education and negotiation experience:
  • Fundraising experience within the PE/VC ecosystem and/or Limited Partner exposure.
