Job Description:



  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Reports to a Director (BMG). Is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the business operations and activities of the medical group and other practice sites under the supervision of the Director - BMG. Supervises nursing care, coordinates patient care, and supervises and teaches all personnel. Is also responsible for maintaining smooth operations of the nursing unit, lab area, radiology unit, and the reception area and maintaining public relations. Maintains responsibility for computer scheduling. Is responsible for handling day-to-day operational issues for the physicians.

  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS


    • Education and Experience
      • The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a nursing or radiology technology program from an accredited school with subsequent licensure, additional educational preparation with courses in management helpful, and three to five years of physician office or urgent care center experience.




    • Knowledge & Skills

      • Demonstrates expert clinical knowledge of procedures, observations, treatments, and techniques and health care administration practices utilized at the clinic.


      • Requires knowledge of government and reimbursement regulation requirements and organization policies, procedures and systems, including knowledge of computer systems and applications.


      • Demonstrates well developed managerial skills necessary to plan, organize, and manage business operations and activities of the clinic.


      • Demonstrates well developed leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with a variety of patients, family members, visitors, clinic staff, physicians, public, and external agencies in a professional manner.


      • Requires certification in Basic Life Support.


      • Demonstrates knowledge of and commitment to Memorial Health System's values of excellence, innovation, respect, and efficiency.
