OVERVIEW OF JOB
The dishwasher is responsible for collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils. The items collected will need to be loaded into washing machines and then stacked appropriately. This position is a key part of the kitchen operations function of the company.
These are hourly, non-exempt, positions. Se Habla Español.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; available to work weekends.
Pay: $14
Work Shift: 8am to 4:30 pm
2pm to 10:00pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
Load and unload dishwashing machines
Wash items by hand when needed
Store and stack clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
Ensure that there is enough clean kitchenware
Sanitize the kitchen area when needed
Maintain cleaning supplies and place orders when necessary
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Work experience as a Dishwasher or Wait Staff
Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
Familiar with kitchen operations
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Time management skills
Attention to detail of sanitation rules
Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or current college student
Minimum 2-3 years of work experience
REASONING ABILITY
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or-two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variable.
