Description:


  1. Daily oversight of Batch Prep operations, which includes up to 30 operators and 3 supervisors.  

  2. Provide technical knowledge, supervision and training necessary to achieve optimum departmental performance.

  3. Position requires the ability to strongly focus and interface with the internal customer (Board Mill and Finishing) to understand/plan/execute the process needs.

  4. Drive continuous process improvement/LSS Projects, including strategies to effectively manage utilization of resources. 

  5. Developing and maintaining a safe work environment, positive employee relations, and engagement.

  6. Training and development of a competent workforce, including succession planning to ensure a well-qualified staff moving forward. 

  7. Drive equipment reliability through effective participation in RPM system and effective teamwork with the Maintenance Foreman and crew.

  8. Ensure Employees are in compliance with both Plant and OSHA Safety Regulations.


  1. Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  2. 3-5 years of experience in a supervisor role is preferred.

  3. Strong communication and organizational skills.  Ability to multi-task.

  4. Ability to handle assigned administrative duties, including computer tasks.

  5. Grasp of the changing equipment and process technology that will be part of the future state.

  6. Ability to effectively coach employees to higher levels of performance. 

  7. Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Power Point)

  8. LSS Experience (Green belt / Black Belt) or Process Improvement Lead preferred.
