Job Description:

This is an internship position for a Spring Rotation, expected to start around January 3, 2022 through mid-May 2022 in Mountain View, CA.

The BMW Technology Office in Mountain View, California is offering an exciting internship on the Digital Life Innovations team. You will work on a team of talented engineers with expertise in software engineering, sensors, vehicle integration, data engineering, and machine learning. The internship is oriented towards software engineering for prototype development and infotainment software. You will collaborate with Bay Area tech companies to bring new experiences to the car.

Note: This is a full-time 5 month internship. Interested applicants should explore options with their faculty advisors / department to take time off from their studies prior to applying for the position.

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college or university
• Field of Study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related
• Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application (Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript)
  
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
• Programming experience on iOS or Android. Swift, Kotlin, Java, or Objective-C
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Interest in the field of automotive
• Willingness to work on an international team

Preferences

• Experience with systems programming languages. C, C++, or Rust
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with camera systems
• Experience with web technologies. Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript
• Experience with Python
• Experience in the automotive industry
