Sanitation Tech 1st Shift

The Sanitation Technician is required to work in an environment that is wet, very humid and undergoes extreme temperature changes, from very hot to very cold. Due to the changing environment, a worker must constantly be aware of the effects of these changes. The sanitation worker will also be working around large processing equipment in which chemicals will be used to complete the sanitation process.

WAGE: $16.50/hr.

• 
  Bonus: $500 sign-on bonus after 30 days of service $1,000 after six months of service $1,000 after 12 months of service
  
  

HOURS: 1st Shift ( 7:00am - 3:30pm )

EDUCATION: High School Diploma Preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Manufacturing experience
  
  


• Experience communicating work order progress to supervisor and production operators
  
  


• Basic Computer Skills
  
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years or older
  
  


• Able to trouble shoot mechanical problems
  
  


• Understand operating principles of food processing equipment
  
  


• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  
  


• Work in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the day
  
  


• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  
  


• Ability to demonstrate knowledge in their functions and ability to troubleshoot and fix system issues is preferred
  
  


• Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
  
  


• Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks
  
  


• Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team
  
  


• Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule
  
  


• Demonstrates active participation in solutions and continually finds ways to improve processes
  
  


• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills.
  
  


• Ability to work with Corrosive Chemicals.
  
  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with Microsoft Office with strong skills in Word, Outlook and Excel
  
  


• Ability to use enterprise software as well as custom sanitation programs
  
  

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:

• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
  
  


• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
  
  


• Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
  
  


• Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
