Insitu is looking for an enthusiastic and experiencedSeniorDevOps Developerto advance Insitu's autonomous systems, data collection and processing.

As a senior member of the Software Engineering department you will:

• Maintain existing and future software services code and configuration




• Make recommendations for improvements to existing architecture




• Help implement new technologies in development for future deployment




• Implement and improve development CI/CD software pipelines




• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfers and mentorship to peers




• Represent software engineering internally and externally and interact with senior personnel on key technical matters

Our software staff can work remotely or at our engineering building in Hood River, Oregon.

Required Skills and Experience

• Agile software development practices and DevOps experience




• Configuration of infrastructure systems




• IaaS and PaaS




• Server virtualization




• Infrastructure provisioning tools e.g. Docker, Chef, Ansible, Packer, Terraform




• AWS




• Docker or Containerization




• Git or SCM




• Scripting languages




• Strong proficiency in building Linux systems and administration




• Continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GoCD, TeamCity etc)




• Configuring load balancers




• DNS management (BIND9)




• Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals




• Authentication protocols




• SSL certificate management




• System monitoring and alerting




• Strong problem-solving skills




• Ability to context-switch between multiple projects, codebases, and concepts with ease




• Ability to interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters




• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work well individually or in a team.




• Ability to independently identify and address tasks.




• Strong organization and time management skills.




• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment.

Education & Experience

Technical bachelor's degree and 9 or more years related work experience or a Master's degree with 7 or more years of related work experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in mathematics, sciences or technologies.
