What you will be doing:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Key Hotel ambassador for brand safety standards, disinfection and health screening
Oversee the day-to-day management of theLoss Preventiondepartment
Continually monitor areas of risk/loss and implement mitigation and prevention
Ensure overall guest and employee safety through the implementation and review of hotel wide security measures
Plan, schedule and execute quarterly drills related to emergency procedures and scenarios
Act as a liaison within the community, downtown business core, and law enforcement agencies to maintain awareness of current and future security issues
Oversee Lost and Found collection & reporting
Oversee training and communication as it relates to first aid and health & safety for staff and guests
Liaison with other hotel security and law enforcement agencies and carry out investigations pertaining to all security matters
Be knowledgeable in the use of all security equipment, i.e. radios, cameras, electronic lock systems and report any safety, security and/or fire hazards or violations
Supervise and train all Security supervisors
Maintain and continually improve Lock and Key control systems and procedures, perform lock audits as required
Create and manage effectively the departmental budget and forecast
Balance operational, administrative and employee needs
Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
Revise, amend and follow departmental policies, procedures, service standards and safety policies
Other tasks, projects, and duties as assigned.
Your experience and skills include:
Previous leadership experience in a similar role
Certification in CPR First Aid required
Law enforcement proficiency certificates an asset
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications
University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
Must possess a professional presentation
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
