Overview
Supports the daily needs of the Material Center by performing inventory counts, receiving material to stock, issuing/kitting material, and helping with improvement efforts as needed.
Responsibilities
Conduct Physical inventories and cycle counts on a regular, on-going basis
Support stockroom materials request and vouchers by transfer or adjust In and Out required parts from inventory, packaging, tagging, labelling and issuing to internal customers
Analyze inventory conditions in support of related materials functions; such as serviceable and unserviceable conditions, shelf-Life (Expiration date)
Receive, store, issue, package, label and log material inventory
Visually inspect materials for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor
Fulfill Work Orders/ Travelers (Kits) to the appropriate work centers and/or departments; complete the incomplete kits that need to be delivered
Maintain the department database, prepare daily reports, and file shipping/receiving records
Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices
Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving
Collaborate in team meetings and activities and support as appropriate
Perform advanced kitting assignments to meet production schedules
Work side by side with Quality Assurance with daily transactions to store or issue parts
Coordinate with shipping for the finished goods shipments
Deliver materials to their designated locations
Process reclaims back into inventory
Edit, modify and verify work order (travelers) and making sure correct documents are attached before the kitting process.
Maintain the Inventory for the Clean Room Department for the die and lids
Receive and verify materials coming into the Material Center Department from Receiving inspection Department for accuracy
Create purchase order requests for materials that have reached their order point/placing a weekly order for materials needed
Create service work orders (SWO), shippers and other documents to be submitted to buyers and Export Compliance Officer (ECO) for purchase orders assigned to requested shipments
Perform other duties as assigned, such as customer service, repackaging and relabeling of materials to include Electro-static discharge (ESD) and moisture-sensitivity requirements
Maintain part traceability per customer requirements
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to coordinate efforts with Production Control, Schedulers, and Manufacturing Technicians
Ability to work well under limited supervision
Ability to handle problems of varying complexity
Maintain shortage report
Ability to generate and review Order Point Report to sustain indirect materials.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or accredited GED
Computer skills: Minimum two (2) years working in a networked environment (work, school, or volunteer work) using a Windows and/or Windows like interface
One (1) year of working with Enterprise-wide systems such as SAP/Visual Preferred
Preferred:
Ability to receive messages by telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to read, interpret and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions as well as technical publications; communicate across organizational levels; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities
Ability to be flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to remain engaged, proactive and positive even in tough circumstances; own assignments and be fully accountable for their success; align actions, behaviors and conversations to what matters most; bring out the best in others and recognize the value in every person's contributions
ESD certification is preferred.
Related experience in the Logistics field a plus.
Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Project.
Salary Range: $15.00 - $18.67 hourly. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well business results.
