Job Description
Execute and expand on projects involving the identification, collection, processing, review, and/or analyses of data relevant to Intellectual property
Ensures common data model design and maintenance, data distribution, consolidation, and integration compliance and data engineering and data engineering best practices.
Provides technical leadership and strategic direction for the technologies, standards, processes and architectures for data across the business domain
Create and maintain current- and target-state data architectures
Define and manage standards, guidelines and processes to ensure data quality
Ensure technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state
Manage end-to-end data life cycle activities to deliver solutions based on requirements
Work with IT teams, business analysts and data analytics teams to understand data consumers' needs and develop solutions
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage and analytics.
Mentor and drive team development
Qualifications
Experience in developing and managing ETL Development tools & technologies (Talend/Pentaho/Python)
Knowledge of common programming languages, preferably Java
Experience building and managing SOAP, REST Services
Working experience in AWS Environment
Good, demonstrated experience in any of one the RDBMS (MySQL/SQL Server/Oracle/PostgreSQL) on WS.
Experience managing and running Agile Teams
Be able to implement and guide teams through test based development
Have strong experience in developing applications that deals with large datasets
Knowledge of XML, HTML, XSLT, Unicode, DTDs, XML Schema, XQuery, XPath, PDF, TIFF and similar formats
Demonstrated entrepreneurial ability to grow a team and/or expand service offerings
Strong ability to be a technical and/or analytical thought leader and desire to utilize data and technology to solve complex problems
Team player and innovative leader who is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), quantitative, and organizational skills
Knowledge of intellectual property (IP) would be advantageous
